Film review:The Imitation game

Do a search on Yahoo for The Imitation game and you will find something like the paragraph below:

Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain’s top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.

Whilst that gives you the bare bones of the story it doesn’t begin to tell what I believe is the real story.  Unfortunately to reveal much more would spoil the movie. Cumberbatch and Knightley are excellent in the parts they play.   Suffice to say there are other sub plots than “Lets win the war chaps” Bigotry, homophobia and the mentality of 40’s and 50’s spring to mind.

If you get a chance I would go and see this film.
